We have an old saying that your home is where your heart is. But your spiritual truth is that your home is in your heart. So, does it matter where you are in the physical world?
Full-time life on the road is interesting. It’s not for everyone. We have no “home” in the traditional sense. We do not go back to a house, an apartment, or a condo to spend time. Instead, we rent a room and have our belongings in storage. We live a simple life. When required, we return to our base to take care of business and hit the road again.
However, not having a house, an apartment, or a condo is not the same as being “homeless.” The old song Any Place I Hang My Hat Is Home by Harold Arlen and Johnny Mercer has always said it for me. I used to wonder why wherever I slept for the night felt like home. Eventually, I came to understand that I felt secure in my heart and my 3-D location did not matter.
Where is Your Heart?
If home is where the heart is, does that need to be a specific location? For some people, it does, and for others, it does not. Most people think of home as a physical location. It is where one lives now or where one grew up or someplace one lived for a long time and misses. For those nomads of heart, It is wherever one pitches the tent. However, these are all places in the 3rd-dimension sense.
We may find it easy to say we are spiritual beings having a human experience. We may find it easy to say this world is an illusion. However, living that is not always so easy. Most people find themselves longing for their physical home, the physical touchstone that reminds them of who they are. But that is who they are in the physical illusion. That is not who they are as Source. When we hold onto the physical world as our truth, we deny our truth as light.
Where is your heart? My heart is with Source and, therefore, I am always home.
Finding Your Home
Love and cherish wherever you call home in this physical life because it is part of your earthly experience. Allow it to nurture you, but do not forget your true identity. Never forget that you are a child of light, a child of Source, and that your truth is outside the illusion.
Your home is in your heart. It is in your connection to Source and your connection to the great All. No matter where you go, no matter where you hang your hat, you are always home when you remember who you are.
