I’m feeling the heat, and I bet you are, too. Last month, I wrote about reclaiming your spiritual identity, including the lower-self’s fear of letting go of the illusion to move into unknow territory. But we are not moving into unknown territory. We are moving into unremembered territory.
Remembering who you are is not always easy
The phrase “remember who you are” is used frequently in spiritual circles. If we could instantly remember, this journey back into oneness would be so easy. However, that is not the way this experiment is designed. We must climb the scale of frequencies at a pace that allows us to evolve and gradually remember as we do.
Source has been sending higher and higher frequencies to planet Earth and humanity for many decades to help us climb the metaphorical spiral staircase to home. Each step we climb helps us remember more of who we are, but some steps seem steeper than others.
And the higher frequencies are definitely heating up the process. All around us, we can see the pressure to change. Governments, businesses, the environment, societal issues, and individual breakdowns are mirrors of the need to look inside ourselves to find what needs to be healed and find new ways to do everything.
We remember who we are by standing above the fear and anger at what is happening to see the importance of everything that seems to be collapsing. Knowing that like energy attracts like energy and every button that gets pushed is as a reflection of ourselves, helps us discern what we need to work on and what steps we need to take to stay cools as those around us are heating up. The higher you go in frequency, the cooler you feel.
What to do when you’re feeling the heat
The answer to most of our challenges is as simple as going back to the basics. Professional dancers warm up with the same plies and stretches they learned in their first class. Professional athletes prepare for a game with the same drills they did as young players. Musicians run scales. Singers vocalize. We begin with meditation and energy techniques that are as old as time.
The foundation of spiritual practice hasn’t changed since the first master taught the first student. I often find students and readers asking about the hottest, newest techniques when, perhaps, they should be focused on what they have already learned. You might still be searching for your metaphysical home, but the basics of all spiritual practice are the same. And those basics are the foundation for all that we need to cool down when we are feeling the heat.
As a group, you have studied many practices and approaches to your path to Ascension. You each have a preferred process for expansion and healing. In the Standing in the Light® process, we begin with clearing and opening the chakras and other energy systems. Then we have an invocation for healing, and a process to verify that we are clearly connected to guidance before we start healing specific issues and filling with resonances.
Whatever process you choose to follow, use it! Master the basics so that whatever technique you want to add to your practice has a strong foundation. When you feel yourself falling out of alignment with the divine, remember who you are and what you know how to do. Do not let the heat generated by the outer world become your truth. Keep it simple. Go back to the basics, get centered, and know that you are Source.
