Interconnection

All Things are Interconnected

We repeatedly hear that we are interconnected and that we heal the world by healing ourselves. For many people, that is just talk because it is challenging to fully accept the oneness of all things. Not just the interconnection of all humanity but of all things.

Martin Luther King, Jr., as always, said it brilliantly:

It really boils down to this: that all life is interrelated. We are all caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.

We are inescapably connected through our DNA. Science is making great strides in showing how similar the DNA is between human beings and even between human beings and the animal kingdom. Eventually, they will show that what they call junk DNA and inactivated DNA connect all things. We are truly one great interconnection.

There is a Buddhist saying that when you hear that all beings are Buddha, don’t fall into the error of thinking there’s more than one Buddha.

We are not separate Buddhas working as one. Instead, we are individual aspects of the one Buddha. We are not separate aspects of Source working as one. We are unique and interconnected expressions of the one Source. Separation is merely a misperception.

Meditate on this daily. Feel the oneness, the interconnection, daily. It is who you are. It is who we all are.

Be one and be one now. No one has to wait. We just have to choose.
